T-Gaia Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.*, a foreign subsidiary of T-Gaia Corporation (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Masato Ishida, hereinafter “T-Gaia”) and CHEERS HOLDINGS (2004) PTE. (“Cheers”), announce that it will launch a mobile battery sharing service, ChargeSPOT™, at Cheers convenience stores from 18th January 2024.
※INFORICH INC, operator of the Mobile Battery Sharing Service “ChargeSPOT™” and T-GAIA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., the Singapore based subsidiary of T-Gaia Corporation, signed a Master Franchise Agreement on 16th March 2023 and T-Gaia has been operating the service in Singapore from December 2023.
Cheers was established in 1998 by FairPrice Group, a social enterprise, to meet the growing demands of the convenience store industry and has established itself as a market leader in providing one-stop convenience services from food and beverage to quick service. By providing the essential services that enrich people’s lives – convenience stores and mobile batteries – in one location, the two companies will enhance customer convenience. The ChargeSPOT™ will become a daily life infrastructure in Singapore, eliminating the anxiety of customers running out of mobile charge and giving them a peace of mind of being able to use the ChargeSPOT™ at a Cheers store near them.
In addition, in cooperation with Niantic and INFORICH*, Niantic’s augmented reality (AR) technology will be gradually introduced to the ChargeSPOT™ stations that will be installed at Cheers stores in advance. This groundbreaking collaboration will provide an innovative solution that not only improves convenience by providing charging devices, but also enhances the entertainment experience to a new level while simultaneously charging devices.
