“ChargeSPOT” Surpasses 50,000 Installations in Japan

– Expansion Accelerates as a Highly Convenient Charging Infrastructure –

We are pleased to announce that the number of battery stand installations for ChargeSPOT®, the mobile battery sharing service operated by INFORICH Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & Group CEO: Hironobu Akiyama), has surpassed 50,000 units across Japan.

■ The number of installations has grown approximately 20-fold since the first year of service in 2018.

ChargeSPOT started its service in April 2018 with the concept of “rent anywhere, return anywhere.” The service has since expanded to various locations, including train stations, airports, commercial facilities, restaurants, convenience stores, and public institutions across Japan. By 2023, the number of installations nationwide reached 40,000 units. In 2024, the number surpassed 45,000 units, and now the service has expanded to over 50,000 units. This marks approximately a 20-fold growth from the initial 2,500 units in the first year of service.

■Surpassing Post Offices in Number of Installations, Approaching Convenience Stores – Toward the Next-Generation Infrastructure

In 2025, the installation of ChargeSPOT units has been actively advanced across the country. Currently, the number of installations in Japan stands at 50,112 units*, which is more than twice the number of post offices in Japan (approximately 24,000 [1]) and approaching the number of convenience stores (approximately 56,000 [2]).

Expanding Globally to Eight Regions

ChargeSPOT is currently operating in eight regions, including Japan. In Taiwan, which became a subsidiary in 2024, the number of installations has exceeded 10,000 units, continuing to expand smoothly. As a result, the total number of installations worldwide has reached 74,900 units.

The recent milestone of ChargeSPOT reaching 50,000 installations nationwide not only enhances convenience but also contributes to expanding real connections with consumers. Based on the diverse location network built in urban areas, the development of INFORICH’s platform business is accelerating further. We are expanding various functionalities, including the CheerSPOT™ platform that supports artists, and ShareSPOT, which allows users to access various sharing services through a single app, all while creating new models that enrich people’s lives.

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of our company. Leveraging the advantages of the locations we have developed so far, we will continue to strive for even greater convenience and service value moving forward.
