■ Background of the Installation
JR Ikebukuro Station is heavily used by daily commuters and students, and as the demand for convenience at station facilities continues to grow, enhancing the charging environment during transit has become increasingly important. Following the installation at JR Meguro Station on August 7, 2024 (Wednesday), a trial installation at JR Ikebukuro Station has been decided. This “ChargeSPOT” installation aims to help avoid issues caused by insufficient charging within the station and to enhance services for station users.
