INFORICH INC. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo, President & CEO: Hironobu Akiyama), operator of the mobile battery sharing service “ChargeSPOT™” has established as of the 25th October 2024 (UK Time) a subsidiary based in London, United Kingdom.

■ Behind the UK Subsidiary Establishment
Our company’s mission is “Bridging Beyond Borders” and to fulfill this we are bringing overseas business models to Japan and expanding Japanese technology and service capabilities overseas. We currently provide our own “ChargeSPOT” service in Japan, Hong Kong, China (partial franchise), and Taiwan, operate Ezycharge in Australia, and operate “ChargeSPOT” through franchises in Thailand, Singapore, and Macau. Up until now, we have continued to expand overseas mainly through franchises, but in order to further accelerate our global expansion, including Europe and the United States, we have decided to establish a subsidiary in the UK.

The European market is seeing an increase in demand for mobile battery sharing, due to a combination of high smartphone penetration rates, a culture of long periods outside and events, and growing environmental awareness. The establishment of a base in the UK, which has easy access to European countries, will enable the company to accelerate the expansion of its services to each country and respond flexibly and quickly to local charging demand.

The establishment of this UK subsidiary is part of INFORICH’s overseas expansion as outlined in its mid- to long-term vision, “VISION2030,” and will lay a foundation for the company in the European market. Daniel Geoffrey Taylor from the global team at the Japan headquarters will be the representative of the new company, and will promote business expansion in Europe while utilizing the extensive track record and know-how that the company has cultivated in Japan and Asia.
