“CHARGESPOT” Completes Development of a New Rapid-Charging Mobile Battery ModelDesigned to meet evolving user needs, the new model is scheduled to roll out in Japan from April 2026 onward

INFORICH Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Group CEO: Hironobu Akiyama), the operator of the mobile battery sharing service “CHARGESPOT™,” has completed the development of a new CHARGESPOT mobile battery compatible with rapid charging. The new model is scheduled to be rolled out in China from January 2026, followed by a launch in Japan from April 2026 onward.

With the development of this rapid-charging battery, CHARGESPOT will be better positioned to meet the growing demand for faster charging in recent years, further enhancing convenience for users.

■ Background of the Rapid-Charging Battery Rollout
Since 2024, regulations in the European Union (EU) have mandated the standardization of smartphone charging ports to USB Type-C. As a result, adoption of fast-charging standards such as USB Power Delivery (USB PD)*1 and Programmable Power Supply (PPS)*2 has accelerated.

In addition to these technological developments, longer smartphone replacement cycles and the increasing sophistication of apps and devices have led to faster battery consumption in recent years. Consequently, user demand for quicker and more efficient charging continues to grow.

Against this backdrop of evolving market conditions and expanding user needs, INFORICH has been advancing the development of a rapid-charging battery that balances both charging speed and efficiency. Following the start of deployment in China from January 2026, the rollout will be expanded sequentially to Hong Kong and Australia, with availability in Japan scheduled from April 2026 onward.

*1: A charging system that uses a USB Type-C connector and automatically adjusts power output according to the status of the connected smartphone or device, enabling faster charging.
*2: A feature within the USB PD standard that allows more precise adjustment of power delivery based on the device’s condition during charging.
