ChargeSPOT Installation Expands to 126 Units Across 106 Osaka Metro Stations

– Starting June 16, 2025, a 30-minute free rental campaign will be launched in Osaka Prefecture to meet increasing charging demand during the Expo –

INFORICH INC. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Group CEO: Hironobu Akiyama), the operator of the mobile battery sharing service “ChargeSPOT®,” announced that it has completed the installation of 126 ChargeSPOT units across 106 Osaka Metro stations as of June 13, 2025.

Osaka Metro, operated by Osaka Metro Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; President and CEO: Hideaki Kawai), began installing ChargeSPOT units inside station premises in 2021, with 115 units installed across 96 stations by August 2023.

Following the expansion that started in January 2025, the number of installed units has now reached 126 across 106 stations as of June 13. INFORICH will continue to work in collaboration with Osaka Metro to further expand the ChargeSPOT network.

From 9:00 AM on June 16 to 9:00 AM on July 21, 2025, we will also be running a campaign across the entire Osaka Prefecture, including Osaka Metro stations. With Osaka Metro expected to see high usage from visitors to the Osaka Expo, we aim to create an even more convenient and accessible environment centered around these station installations.

■ Regarding Installations
At the ongoing Osaka-Kansai Expo, smartphones are widely used across various situations, including for cashless payments, making the availability of charging infrastructure more important than ever.

According to a survey conducted by INFORICH in May 2025 on smartphone charging conditions at the Expo, approximately 30% of visitors reported that their phone either “almost ran out of battery or completely died.” Furthermore, over half of respondents indicated that they felt anxious about their battery level and therefore “refrained from using their smartphones.” These findings suggest that a lack of accessible charging options significantly affects the overall visitor experience.

Given this context, the installation of charging infrastructure within Osaka Metro stations—key transit hubs during the Expo—plays a critical role in offering peace of mind to users and enabling smoother urban mobility. The convenience of having access to smartphone charging while on the move is not only beneficial to tourists but also contributes to improved satisfaction among daily commuters and students.

INFORICH will continue to expand the ChargeSPOT network with the goal of creating an urban environment where everyone can travel with greater ease and confidence.

Installation Period: January 9 – June 13, 2025
Installation Details: 10 units with 20 slots; 1 unit with 40 slots
